PVS Meridian Chemicals, Inc. Acquires Meridian Technologies

Magnolia, Texas: July 29, 2011

PVS Chemicals, Inc. (“PVS”) announces that its newly formed subsidiary, PVS Meridian Chemicals, Inc. (“PVS Meridian”), has acquired the business and assets of Meridian Technologies (“Meridian”).

The acquisition of Meridian complements PVS’s existing business lines for both distribution and manufacturing which include the management of co-products and the production of inorganic acids and bases. PVS Meridian will be structured around Meridian’s existing Calcium Chloride and Tall Oil businesses while Meridian’s Hydrochloric Acid marketing business will be integrated into PVS Chloralkali, Inc.

The integration process for PVS Meridian has begun and we look forward to the growth of this new entity based on the opportunities that have been created by this acquisition.
